Terms and Conditions
Object | Organization
Green Odyssey – Private Tour Experience® is the brand under which Hugo José Vale da Silva, sole trader, tax ID 254 220 703, with address at Rua Manuel Guedes 93, Monção, provides private tours and tourist experiences. The activity is registered with the National Registry of Tourist Animation Agents (RNAAT) under no. 1084/2024. Contact: info@greenodyssey.pt · +351 918 595 798.
These conditions regulate the relationship between Green Odyssey and the person or entity that books its services. Booking any of the activities implies that you have read and accepted them. They may be complemented by specific conditions stated in your booking confirmation, which prevail in case of conflict.
Responsibility | Insurance
RNAAT Registration: No. 1084/2024
- Civil Liability Insurance — Policy No. 1024181160 – Generali Tranquilidade.
Our professional activities are covered by civil liability insurance, which covers property and non-property damages that may be attributed to us during our operations, with an insured amount of €50,000.00.
- Group Personal Accident Insurance — Policy No. 1024193700 – Generali Tranquilidade.
All participants in our activities are covered by personal accident insurance:
- €24,205.00 in the event of death or total and permanent disability;
- €4,635.00 for treatment expenses and repatriation.
Accidents and Activation of the Personal Accident Insurance
The insurance can be activated during the activity for which you are registered. Coverage starts at the date and time stated in the programme and ends when the participant leaves the activity, even if they leave early or rejoin later. If you wish to leave the activity, you must inform the guide.
Covered accidents are those that occur during the normal course of the activity described in the programme, or of any change we introduce to it. The following situations are excluded:
- When the participant carries out activities outside the programme or engages in unnecessary risk behaviour;
- When the participant disobeys the guide’s instructions or deviates from the route or programme on their own.
Any accident must be reported to us immediately and, in any case, within 48 hours after the end of the activity, so that we can notify the insurer.
Transportation
All our tours include transportation, provided by Green Odyssey in its own vehicle, driven by the guide, from the pick-up at your accommodation to the drop-off at the end of the day. Pick-up and drop-off places are agreed when booking. Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers, as required by law. Child seats are available on request when booking. The journey in our vehicle is covered by the insurance taken out for that vehicle, which covers all passengers in the event of an accident. Our civil liability insurance covers the activities carried out during the tour, not the transport, and the personal accident insurance described above covers participants during the tour itinerary.
Private Groups | Companies | Agencies
Our standard tours are private for groups of up to 6 people. Proposals for larger groups, companies or events depend on availability and are subject to a prior quote, which may vary according to:
- Number of participants;
- Type of tour;
- Duration;
- Changes to the original itinerary and associated costs;
- Other variable factors.
Travel agencies and tour operators that book on behalf of their clients work under written conditions agreed with Green Odyssey (commercial terms, payment and cancellation). These Terms and Conditions apply to everything not covered by that agreement.
Programming
Programmes, prices, itineraries and descriptions published on our website or sent in proposals are valid for the dates indicated. The descriptions are as accurate as possible, but their content may change due to external factors such as the season, weather, winery or restaurant availability. Any change will be communicated in good time, and replaced activities will have equivalent value.
Schedule
The duration of the tours is an estimate (about 10 hours) and may change due to group configuration, weather, traffic or unforeseen events, so the indicated end time is approximate.
- Please be at the agreed pick-up place at the exact start time. We apply a maximum tolerance of 15 minutes;
- After this period the tour starts without delayed participants, so as not to compromise the experience of the others;
- If a participant does not show up within the tolerance time and does not contact us in advance, it is considered a “no-show” and there is no refund;
- If there are significant delays beyond your control, such as flight or train delays, contact us as soon as possible so that we can find a solution.
Registration | Reservation | Payment
Bookings can be made through the booking form on the website, by email (info@greenodyssey.pt) or by WhatsApp. A booking is only confirmed when we confirm it in writing and the payment requested in the confirmation is received.
- Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes. The price of each tour is the one published on the website or in your proposal at the time of booking;
- Payment is made by bank transfer or MB Way, following the instructions in your booking confirmation. We do not store card data;
- When booking, we ask for name, email and phone contact. For insurance purposes, we also need the full name and date of birth of every participant, plus the passport or ID card number. We must receive them at least 48 hours before the tour so that we can send them to the insurer in time, and without them participation is not possible;
- If you want an invoice with a tax number, send us the details in reply to the confirmation message.
When booking, you declare that:
- You have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and the details of the tour you booked;
- You are in a fit state of health for a full day tour, which includes walking short distances, getting in and out of the vehicle and spending several hours with the group;
- You have informed us of any food allergy, dietary requirement, mobility need or health condition that may affect your participation, so that we can adapt the experience.
Special conditions of our experiences:
- Minimum age and alcohol: our tours are designed for adults. Wine tastings and alcoholic drinks are only for people aged 18 or over. Families travelling with children should contact us in advance, so that we can assess the tour and adjust it;
- Pregnant women: please let us know when booking, so that we can adapt the tastings and advise on the best options of the itinerary;
- Responsible drinking: tastings are of small quantities, and the vehicle is always driven by our guide;
- Specific needs: your well-being is our priority. If you have any specific need, contact us and we will adjust the experience whenever possible.
Right of Withdrawal
Under Decree-Law no. 24/2014 on contracts concluded at a distance, the 14 day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activities that must be performed on a specific date or period. This is the case of our tours. Once your booking is confirmed, the changes and cancellation conditions below apply.
Changes | Cancellations | Refunds
If you need to change or cancel:
- Change of date: free of charge when requested at least 72 hours before the tour, subject to availability;
- Cancellation at least 72 hours before the start of the tour: full refund;
- Cancellation less than 72 hours but at least 48 hours before the start: refund of 50% of the price;
- Cancellation less than 48 hours before the start, or no-show: no refund, except in exceptional and documented cases, such as a medical emergency or flight cancellation, which we assess case by case;
- Refunds are made to the payment method used, within a maximum of 14 days. If you do not receive it within this period, contact info@greenodyssey.pt.
Bookings made through travel agencies follow the conditions agreed with the agency.
If we need to change or cancel: for reasons beyond our control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, safety conditions or the unavailability of the guide for force majeure, we will inform you as soon as possible and propose a new date. If it does not suit you, you are entitled to a full refund. For operational or safety reasons, we may change the route or replace an activity with another of equivalent value.
Safety and Conduct
We follow the safety rules applicable to our activity. Even so, any trip involves inherent risks, so participants must also act with common sense and prevention.
Participants must:
- Follow the guide’s instructions and respect the rules of the places we visit;
- Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the day, including for vineyards and uneven ground. We are not responsible for incidents resulting from inadequate clothing or footwear;
- Respect the schedule and the other participants;
- Inform us in advance of any health condition or need relevant for the tour;
- Respect the environment, the vineyards and the local communities.
We may end the participation of anyone whose behaviour compromises the safety or the experience of the group, without refund. This includes disrespect towards the guide, other participants or partners, excessive intoxication, refusal to follow safety instructions and behaviour that disturbs the group.
Photographs | Images | Videos
We take photographs and videos during the tours to share with you and, if you agree, to promote our work on our website, Instagram, Facebook and printed materials.
- At the time of booking, or at the beginning of the tour, we ask for your consent. If you do not agree, we will not publish images in which you can be identified;
- You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@greenodyssey.pt, and we will remove the content from the channels we control;
- If you want your name credited on the photographs, tell us.
See our Privacy Policy for more information on how we use personal data.

If you are not satisfied with our service, please tell us at info@greenodyssey.pt, so that we can solve the situation. You can also use the electronic complaints book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
In a consumer dispute, you can resort to an alternative dispute resolution (RAL) entity. The list of authorised entities is available on the Portal do Consumidor, at www.consumidor.gov.pt. Green Odyssey is not bound to a specific entity, and the use of one depends on the agreement of both parties.
